This rare succulent cucumber is from the southern Japanese island of Kyushu.  It has no bitterness and small in size.  It can be directly eaten with the skin. Suitable for planting in the cooler months.  It has a fresh taste that is distinctive with a hint of lime in it.  It is said to be related to the small round lemon flavoured “dasakai” variety that used to be found in the Karnool district of Andhra.
