Found this plant in Japan in the Chiba area called locally “tsunonasu”. It looked so fascinating that I just had to pinch its seeds!!! Although people say that the fruits look like the nipples on a cow’s udder, to me it looks like the face of a cow or even a mouse. It is widely used in floral arrangements in Japan and there is a local farming industry that churns out these exotic looking branches. While the fruits are inedible and considered toxic, they have “flokloric” uses for treating asthma and used as a detergent for washing clothes as well. However, its widest commercial used is in floral decoration. Will await someone to start this in India!!!
