Description

One of the most legendary chillies in the world, the Naga Chilli — also known as Bhut Jolokia or Ghost Pepper — is a treasured heirloom variety native to the northeastern states of India, particularly Assam and Nagaland. In 2007, it earned a Guinness World Record as the hottest pepper on Earth, clocking over 1,000,000 Scoville Heat Units.

Beyond its fiery reputation, the Naga Chilli has deep cultural roots. Grown in household gardens for generations, it has been used in traditional medicine to aid digestion, improve circulation, and relieve muscle pain and toothaches. It is a natural preservative, a culinary staple, and in 2008 became the first product from Nagaland to receive a Geographical Indication (GI) tag.

These seeds carry the original genetic traits of the authentic Assam variety — thin-walled, wrinkled, pointed fruits ripening to a vivid red. Plants grow tall (up to 4 feet), love full sun, and fruit in 100–120 days. Non-hybrid, non-GMO, and completely chemical-free.
